On Saturday evening Blue Mountain Speedway, Chaleur ShotCrete and NAPA Auto Parts hosted the Atlantic Open Wheel, Eastern Super mini-cup cars and 4cylinder/mini-stocks. In the preliminaries the winners were in the 4cylinder class ,car #42 Bruce Hache; mini-stock class, car #10 Rejean Saulnier; mini-cup cars,car #29 James Matchett; AOW car # 3 Ken Deveau. In the semi-finals the winners were #04 Robert Legere mini-cup car and #3 Ken Deveau AOW. The main feature winners of the evening were #42 4cylinder Bruce Hache and #19 mini-stock Glenn Morisson. In the mini-cup car #29 James Matchett took the first ever feature win at Blue Mountain Speedway. In the AOW the # 3 car of Ken Deveau made it a grand slam by taking the checkered flag in a exciting 35 lap feature! A special thank you to all the drivers who made the afternoon special for kids wanting a ride around the speedway! Also thank you to the drivers who made the long trek to Blue Mountain Speedway. We would also like to thank NAPA Auto Parts for sponsoring the tailgate party. Next event will be Sept.25th with the last Demolition of the season.

Come join us between 1-3pm on Saturday to meet the AOW, Super Cup Car and 4cyl.mini-stock drivers and check out their cars! Free hot dogs and hamburgers and freezies for the kids! Also between 2:30 and 3:00pm kids will get a chance to ride around the track in a 4cyl or mini-stock car!

The first Demolition of the summer was held at the speedway Saturday evening with a good night of racing! Chris Harvey, 4 cylinder driver, won the preliminary and feature race while Glenn Morrison, mini-stock driver, took the checkers in the preliminary and feature of the evening. In Demo racing Tyler Chamberlain proved he was a true winner by taking the checkered on his roof in the Backwards race! The Bag race was won by Andre Hachey and Bruce Hache had a good night picking up the win in the Demo Cross, Bump to Pass and Wildman race. Bruce continued by caping off the evening by tying for second place with Yves LeBlanc in the Demolition. The big winner of the evening was Patrick Dugas - the last car running in the Demolition! (See picture below of Patrick and the winning car)

The next event at the speedway will be Aug 20th when the Atlantic Open Wheel, Eastern Super mini-cup cars visit and 4 cylinder and mini-stock cars will also be on the race card.

New Website & New 2011 Racing Season!!

Thanks for visiting the new Blue Mountain Speedway website! This site will be maintained by the owners, therefore, we are fairly new at this and ask all readers to be patient with our progress.
During this season we plan on hosting 4 events - including the return of the Atlantic Open Wheel modified stock cars, and the introduction of the Eastern Super Mini Cup Car Series. We will also be having our regular 4 Cylinder and Mini-Stock class, and 3 Demolition Derby events - so please check out our schedule!
